ITHACA - The Alma boys soccer team took on rival Ithaca on Wednesday night and extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games. Alma got the scoring opened in the first five minutes of the game when junior Brevan Bender found Giovanni Polini who drilled the back of the twine to make the score 1-0. Polini was on the other end of things 15 minutes later when he assisted a Josh Morey goal to put the Panthers on top 2-0. In the second frame, Bender scored twice on balls from Polini and junior Jacob Lalonde, while Morey added his second of the night to make the score 5-0. Alma (14-2-1, 7-0-0 TVC West) will round out their conference slate on Wednesday when they host Hemlock (6-8-1, 2-5 TVC West) for a district preview at 4:30.
